"Below are the answers to the questions we're frequently asked.
General Organisation
Will changing rooms and washroom facilities be available?
Yes, changing rooms will be available for runners. However, we ask you to bring your own equipment (camp bed, etc.) and not to reserve an area of the changing rooms for the entire duration of the race, so that everyone can use them when needed. Showers will also be available in the changing rooms.
Of course, toilets will be located along the course for runners and will also be accessible to supporters.
Can I park my campervan near the course?
Vans and campervans can be parked in the available car parks outside the stadium (see the parking map). It will not be possible to park your vehicle inside the stadium grounds.
Aid Station
Can I bring my own equipment (tables, gazebos, etc.) for my personal aid station?
The race organisers provide each runner with a space in the personal aid station area (see the stadium layout map). Gazebos, tables and chairs are already set up by the organisation in sufficient quantity for all runners. Due to the high number of participants and the limited space in the personal aid station area, and to guarantee a proper space for each runner, we no longer allow runners to bring their own equipment.
Will the personal aid stations have access to electricity? Can I bring electrical equipment (microwave, kettle, etc.)?
Electrical access will be available at the personal aid stations, however we cannot guarantee an electrical outlet for every runner. Shared kettles and microwaves will be provided by the race organisers, and we ask you to avoid bringing your own appliances as much as possible to prevent electrical overload.
Can I reserve a specific spot for my personal aid station?
The personal aid station tables will be set up from the evening before the race. For the allocation of spots, we apply a "first come, first served" policy: from Friday evening, you can come and write your name and bib number on any available spot of your choice to reserve it for the race.
What does the general aid station offer?
The general aid station will offer a varied selection of food suited to runners' needs : savoury (cheese, cold cuts, condiments, starchy foods, soups and other savoury biscuits…), sweet (jam, fruit compote, sweet cakes, dried fruit and fresh fruit…) and drinks (coffee, tea, sparkling water, cordial, Coca-Cola…).
Everything provided at the general aid station will be served throughout the race, with hot dishes rotating, and based on runners' requests.
A detailed list of what the general aid station will offer will be sent to all registered runners a few days before the race.
Miscellaneous
My GPS watch shows a different distance from the officially measured one, why?
The course is officially measured by a race referee according to the rules of the French Athletics Federation (IAAF standards). A runner's total official distance is calculated by multiplying their number of laps (automatically recorded via electronic timing chip) by the lap distance.
Your watch calculates your distance by taking GPS position readings very regularly (for example every second, or once every 5 to 10 seconds or even less often depending on the watch and the energy-saving mode selected). These GPS readings are generally fairly accurate, but some inaccuracies can occasionally occur, especially on a 24-hour course where you run in loops. These inaccuracies, which build up over the course of your laps, explain this difference between your watch's measurement and the official timekeeper's measurement.
